After building a project, like an app or website, “shipping” is publishing & sharing it online.
Students in many traditional computer science classes are lucky to make a single project. At Hack Clubs, every member makes & ships their first website their very first meeting.
Instead of learning programming concepts in isolation, learning by shipping means you focus on what you need to build real projects. It’s more fun & leads to better learning.
Day 4 of thanksgiving special scrapes.I am still working on the Ship-GUI fixing on improving stuff and fixing errors as of now
This is getting out of hand. I'll deploy and ship by today hopefully
I am working to Ship an update that would include API with any storage block like Unsplah so hack clubbers can download their creations

:shipitparrot: :ascend:ASCEND SHIP INCOMING :shipitparrot: :ascend: > last weekend, @michelle and i had the most unforgettable experience at ascend :ascend-planet: in LA where we were surrounded by 50+ girls & non-binary in tech, helping organize one of the most incredible hackathons i've been to this year. of course, we still wanted to take the opportunity to build & ship a technical project so we spent majority of the day working on this AR simulation of a SpaceX Falcon 9 landing wherever you held up the SpaceX :spacex: logo with three.js, ar.js, & a-frame :aframe:. we were content with mediocrity until, in a last-minute turn of events (and a motivating conversation with @zrl ), we realized we wanted to make something more meaningful :sleepy-dino:. something that addressed a real issue & we could own 100% of the code :meow_code: with. and what’s the #1 problem facing youth in america 🦅 today? that’s right. there are no resources for underage gambling. :money-printer: 🇺🇸 so, from the hours of 1–5 am, @michelle and i went all in. armed with vanilla web dev, 2+ crash-outs, and sleep deprivation, we built a GAMBLING WEBSITE FOR MINORS. our project bridges the accessibility gap by offering an educational experience to prepare the next generation for the risks of losing it all. 🎲 :playground_slide: full story behind our project design process (money spread images included :money-tub:): docs.google.com/presentation/d/1FYv7BGPnzlNT-phubaZu6-6Dp_XOWD6CMlluC_JML4I/edit?usp=sharing 🎰 GAMBLE YOUR $$ MONEY AWAY NOW: underage-gambling.vercel.app :githubparrot: github: github.com/sahitid/underage-gambling 💌 thank you to @zrl for the wake-up call to redo our entire project at 1 am, and the entire #C07T6DEFD7U| organizing team ( @savina , @zoyashussain , @phaedra , @jeslyn , @elia , @andreayang ) for providing headshots that we used on the website. and most of all @ZenabH. (the coolest canadian i know) for the yap & moral support.
I've just finished my Ultimate Tic Tac Toe. About to ship now! I finalised the system, and implemented a number of bug fixes. I didn't add an AI opponent, but I might release an update with it another time.
Sending my ship out, I will continue working on this but it is good enough to ship.
Shipped a ship today over a silly card game. I mean it could be better but it's 11:40pm for me. I'm done.
Hey guys. Today I am hoping to ship my Password Generator project. I think the title gives away what this website does, but for more details, it's a website where you can generate a random, very safe password. It needs some polish and a couple cool features, so that's what I am working on right now. It's just a tip of the iceberg for me. I am learning JavaScript at the moment, and this is a project which will and already did teach me a lot. I will ship a couple or dozen more projects of similar scale, but my final project is going to be big... something I have never done before.
working on settings page for update, might ship today
Didnt know there was thanksgiving special cause it was school time for me this is from yesterday.Worked on github.com/Vortex-Linux/ship shipped it aswell though it didn't do that well sedly....
Hello yall! i have just made @3c (github.com/NeonGamerBot-QK/3c-board) which is similar to @Starboard and will add your message to #C0815508A59| after 3 :3c: reactions :P Please add this bot to your channel if you want your messages to be included! (screenshot is fake obvs)

Skyrace (as I've now dubbed it) is out! Ever heard of Wikirace? Skyrace is just like that: but for Bluesky! Get a random user, and try find someone else by searching through follower lists! Have a gander at it at skyrace.dainfloop.me. (github.com/DaInfLoop/skyrace)
I created a program to let you use any IDE with Hackatime (and High Seas)! People are using it :blahaj-shock:
github.com/iamawatermelo/wakapi-anyide v0.6.4
pipx install wakapi-anyide[color]
to get started :yay:
Not a #C07PZMBUNDS| ship yet, but I made two Fillout form templates that make quality-of-life improvements for HCB organizations like #C07H1R2PW9W| on handling donation invoice requests and receiving US bank checks without ping-ponging over email.
1. Request donation invoice for donors template - Use this form template to receive donation invoice requests from individuals and companies, with instructions for ACH/wire/Swift transfers and US bank checks if they choose either of the two over paying online via credit/debit card or direct debit.
2. Deposit US bank checks - Let your donors send you photos of their bank checks without even mailing into HCB's mailing address, allowing HCB organizations to process them as soon as they receive it, especially when mapped into a donation invoice.
If you are using them, make sure to tweak the organization name and your sponsors@your-domain.tld
email address as needed.
Ship #GMM0VHBBM| of High Seas! I re-designed my website! I'm not big on front-end development, so having something that looks like this is nice! I also actually designed this in Figma before making it, unlike my v1 website. Have a look at it @ dainfloop.is-a.dev! (gh: github.com/DaInfLoop/website-v2)
Ship #1 of High Seas! Today I made sprig CLI, which as the name suggests, is a CLI tool for the Sprig! It allows you to check the firmware version, upload new firmware and upload a game! So long are the days of using the Sprig editor to flash a game, now you can do it all within your own machine!
Created custom wall mount for my skis, since all of the ones I could find didn't display the art on the top sheet. Available on thingiverse: www.thingiverse.com/thing:6811562
After an <https://apocalypse.hackclub.com/|apocalypse> comes a revolution. :revolution-logo: Revolution is a hackathon in the UK taking place in summer 2025. Not a Hack Club event. I created the branding and the website!
possibly the strangest art project i've made! i have an weird obsession with the orange trident gum flavour and i was just goofing around one day with the packaging when i got the most random idea ever. ✨ the gum room ✨ (:heavysob:), a goofy mini room with a bed, table, closet and other stuff made with a very interesting materials... gum boxes, gum wrappers, and gum ofc (most of it soft-ifyed in a bowl of water with chopsticks ok). i hope you enjoy, i guess? (also since the slack image limit is 10, im adding one more in the thread of the very beginning)
Maybe you don’t use Spotify but you want a way to share what you’re listening to? Or what if you want to share the Steam game you’re playing? Look no further than @SlickStats ! You visit the app home to connect it to your account and then input your last.fm and Steam API keys for your status to magically update with what you’re listening to or playing! I spent a looong time working on OAuth for this, but I’m really happy that it’s finally done. I’m open for suggestions of other services to add! One caveat: your automatic huddle status will get overwritten because it’s not technically a status - I’ll fix this eventually It’s all open source at github.com/DillonB07/SlickStats if you want to check it out!
worked on git.hackclub.app/neon/hackclub-verification today
hackclub.slack.com/archives/C0P5NE354/p1727402015389169 made a slack bot to tell me the weather in hackclub hq. (in #C0P5NE354|)
